How sanctions only harm everyday people (Full show)

The Biden administration announced more sanctions against Russia on Wednesday, taking aim at the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. This comes on the heels of Germany's halting of further certification of the pipeline as punishment for Russia's recognition of two breakaway republics in eastern Ukraine. Meanwhile, the European Union has placed sanctions on senior Russian government officials, several companies and hundreds of lawmakers who voted in favor of recognizing the independence of these republics, but not Russian President Vladimir Putin himself. RT America’s Alex Mihailovich has the details. Then Earl Rasmussen of the Eurasia Center and Medea Benjamin of Code Pink join Faran Fronczak to share their insights. But first, RT's Murad Gazdiev reports from the ground in wartorn Donbass.

Meanwhile Washington, DC prepares for the arrival of protesters sympathetic to Canada’s “Freedom Convoy” and has asked for National Guard units to bolster its law enforcement capabilities.

Plus, professional golfer Phil Mickelson has apologized for comments he made about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in an interview with golf writer Alan Shipnuck,. RT America’s John Huddy has the details.
